Welcome to Design 1. This is an introductory course to basic 2D Visual Design.
Students will learn fundamental concepts and theories that are crucial to the development of effective commmunication skills in two dimensions. These include color theory, gestalt theory and contrast theory to name a few.
Your assignments will run the gamut from simple visual problems to more complex design scenarios that will challenge your ability to gather information about a problem, analyse it and then come up with a totally fresh and self-generated solution.
By the end of the class you will have developed a formal logic suitable to analyzing and solving visual conundrums.
