Shape

The general outline of something is called the shape. A shape can also be defined as a closed path or a closed path.

Although there are many ways top depict a shape on a 2D surface, one way is with lines.

Lines can be sued to drawflat shapes like cubes or pyramids that can be filled with color or texture.

How a shape is drawn give it its quality, such as

  • curving
  • angular
  • regular
  • changing
  • flat
  • volumetric

Shapes can be used to depict representational shapes of real objects or they can be used to abstract shapes like blobs, stars or hearts.
