Designing the California Dollar bill
Overview
One purpose of this assignment is to improve your skills in Photoshop
and Illustrator by going through a series of exercises and tutorials
that will teach you the advanced features currently available. Whether
or not you choose to use these techniques in your end design will
be up to you. Our purpose is to point out to you the scope of what
the programs can do. How you utilize this knowledge will depend
on how you choose to solve the design problem.
Another purpose of this assignment is to expose you to the issues
surrounding the design process in general and currency design specifically.
You will explore the history of money while also researching what
