Effective when we care about the geographical location of
items. Eg. news, weather, sports, events, inventory.
Weakness: you can put too many heterogenous items
together and so need a lower level classification. Example: once
you arrive at California, then San Diego, then NU, you still have
to figure out what you want to know.
General form of geographcal organization is model based
organization -- spatial models..
-
3D models show parts of an object and allow users to click
on it to reach that item.
-
Car -- engine, front wheel, back wheel,
-
Illustration and cutouts can be helpful for 3D objects because
you can't otherwise see inside the object.
